Hello from sunny Arizona!

It might be sunny here, but the mornings sure are ch-ch-ch-ch-chilly. So are the "pristine" waters of Tempe Town Lake - a brisk 62 degrees.

I got a friendly call from local Dan Beaver. Dan gets his own super-fan award for this Ironman. He gave me the best idea EVER!!! We were discussing how I might bite the bullet and go for arm warmers on race day. This is something I never do. But there is nothing I hate more than being cold (yes, even though I live in Montana, I get cold).

I was really bummed about the prospect of having to throw my favorite Saucony arm warmers at a random aide station once the race started to heat up about 9am. Dan taught me something new that gave me a huge "a-ha!".

Off to Target I went and purchased these snazzy argyle socks that so happen to match my Scott Plasma 2. What more could a girl ask for??? The hardest part was deciding on which pair of knee-high socks to purchase for $4.99.

I cut the socks off at the ankle, and voila: cheap arm warmers that rock some serious style points. I might have a hard time tossing them at an aide station, they fit great and are toasty-warm.

Thanks, Dan!!! One more day of rest then it is onto Sunday-Funday. Can't wait.
