It all started: I was born in Greenbrae, California on February 16, 1981. I have an older sister, Dana, and two wonderful parents, Tom & Betty. I grew up in Bend, Oregon where I was spoiled with the great outdoors, fantastic skiing, and tons of athletics. I attended Mountain View High School where I ran cross-country and track and was a ski racer.
Moving forward: I first went to college in California, before I found my love(s): triathlon & Chris Corbin in Big Sky Country, Missoula, Montana!
My first bike: Chris lent me his road bike to go on a bike touring trip with my parents. I loved every second of the trip and was the fastest up all of the hills (imagine that!!). After that, I signed up for my first triathlon.
Looking ahead: Here I am living in Missoula, Montana where I am pursuing the dream of being the best that I can be athletically. I consider myself pretty darn lucky!
Things I like: Biking up big hills, spending time with my family & friends, eating sushi, drinking espresso, peanut butter, pretzels, Madison (my golden retriever), Montana, The Power of One, sudoku puzzles, and massages!
Things I don’t like: Being cold, cranky people, laziness, bananas, traffic, long lines, television, not having money, being late, and putting my laundry away.
Things you didn’t know: Besides triathlon, I am an excellent baker!, my first words were: “I do it, I do it.”, my favorite race is Wildflower, and my last name used to be Pickell, NOT Pickle.
