I spent the last week at Camp Coeur D’Alene. It was awesome.

Highlights of the week included:

*Team Montana training camp. 15 of us ventured over to Wallace, Idaho for a weekend training camp where we put away some big training miles and good times were had by all.

*First ride over 100 miles of the year. Hard to believe, I know.

*Riding 100+ (130 to be exact) and feeling strong to quite strong - good to know you don’t forget how to ride a bike that long.

*Completing an Ironman-type simulation on the Ironman Coeur D’Alene course to t-me up for race day, June 27th - baby!!

*Eating chia seeds for the first time. They don’t taste like much and supposedly work wonders. All I know is it got me through a 4 mile run off the bike like a gem.

*Riding and running on the Ironman CDA course and learning the in’s, out’s, uglies, and beauties of all 140.6 miles. Should be fun!

*Staying with my favorite CDA family - the Hutters. Pete & Chloe are teenagers to boot, Mike can rival my dad in the cooking department, and Sue is just Sue - Super Mom & friend! Thanks for having me… see you in June.

Overall, it was a great trip. I returned home with tired legs, which is always a good thing. Looking forward to putting away another block of training leading into Kansas 70.3 and Ironman.

Thanks for stopping by!
